Creating

My close friends already know that I do much of my sewing, crafting, and creating late into the night. So for them, this is nothing new. But I have to share where my head has been for the past week and a half.

Anyone who knows me and my family, knows that we {and a wonderful committee of many sheep raising friends} are getting ready for our 27th Annual Southern Illinois Sheep & Craft Festival that is happening this Saturday at the Monroe County Fairgrounds in Waterloo, Illinois. {For more information, click here.} For us, this is big. And this is why I have to apologize for missing a post last week.

So, for the past six weeks or so, I have been planning out my display booth to promote the upcoming sewing & craft classes that I create for & teach through the Creativity Café. But for the last week and a half my mind has been racing.

You know how the saying goes, "the devil is in the details". Well, for me "the devil is in my obsessive OCD with a little ADD thrown in for good measure". Ideas are flying around everywhere, and completing a task has been impossible. I start one thing and before I know it I am doing something completely different. So needless to say, there are a number of ideas for my booth that are making a lot of noise in my head during the night.

Thank goodness for my close friends, because they are my sounding boards. They are very patient and very kind to lend an ear {or text, or email, or whatever}. And at times, the ideas are all over the place. They help to keep me grounded.
So, as spring approaches and you all have your windows open enjoying all that fresh air, don't worry when you here a bump in the night. It is just me.

Now, I just need to make sure I don't wake up the boys. ;-)

Just in case you are in the area and are looking for a great family-friendly outing:
There are a number of different events scheduled throughout the day in addition to a variety of exhibits, craft booths, and wool spinning & weaving demonstrations.

There is also a wonderful Lamb Lunch served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. offering a variety of lamb cuts to try.

Hope to see you there!
